- 02. HARD SHELL LAYERS Weather turns fast at 9,000ft. Waterproof shell + puffer. No cotton.
- 03. HYDRATION (2L+) CamelBak or Nalgenes. High altitude dehydrates you instantly.
- 04. OFFLINE ESSENTIALS Notebook and pen. Digital noise is the enemy of clarity.
- 05. SUN PROTECTION High altitude sun burns faster. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen.
- 06. DAY PACK 20-30L backpack to carry your layers, water, and notebook.
FIELD NOTES (FAQ)
HOW FIT DO I NEED TO BE?
Comfortable walking 3-5 miles at moderate inclines. If you can walk 18 holes of golf carrying your bag, you can do this. We have multiple pace groups.
WILL I HAVE CELL SERVICE?
Basecamp has wifi, but the trails are often out of range. We strongly encourage "Airplane Mode" for the entire weekend to maximize focus.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
"Mountain Ready." Function over fashion. Leave the blazer at home. Moisture-wicking fabrics are your friend.
HOW DO I HANDLE ALTITUDE?
Sun Valley is at ~6,000ft. Drink twice as much water as you think you need. Limit alcohol intake on the first night. We have electrolytes available.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
Our culinary team caters to GF, Vegan, and Paleo. You will be asked for specific needs upon booking.
